Post Ride Festival

Join with family, friends and thousands of fellow cyclists in celebration of completing the 2011 Wilson HTM Brisbane to the Gold Coast Cycle Challenge at the new finish site of Broadwater Parklands on Marine Parade, Southport.

There are plenty of reasons to kick back at the end of your ride including live entertainment, children's activities, the official presentation, prizes, food and drink vendors, and to check out the state-of-the-art Broadwater Parklands recreational facilities.

Award-winning Broadwater Parklands

The three kilometre stretch of parklands along the foreshore boasts the Great Lawn (the official finish site), Rockpools, The Pier, Urban Wetlands and Info Centre to name a few of the attractions in the Central Precinct (closest to Southport CBD).

If you're looking to cool off after the ride or entertain the kids, the Rockpools (open 9am-7pm, times subject to change) is a new sculptural water playground with fountains and pop jets, a creek bed and tidal rockpools.

To the north you'll find Gold Coast Aquatic Centre and Fishermans Lawn. And at the southern end, you'll find Washington Waters Children's Playground with swings, bike education track, monorail peddle bikes and a flying fox, Washington Waters Swimming Enclosure and Pontoon if you're looking to take a dip, the Nature Walk and The Hill, which is home to the 2.5m high Maddie and Bear sculptures.
