Blue skies, gentle breezes and boxes and boxes of bananas proved to be a winning combination for the close to 8,000 riders who took up the challenge on 9.10.11.
As well as being a great promotion for cycling, the event has raised vital funds for Diabetes Australia - Queensland and the Heart Foundation. Fundraising is still being tallied, with Everyday Hero donations open until 21 October, and so a total will be announced in the coming weeks.
Three huge cheers to all the volunteers, sponsors, support crew and vendors who made the event happen - Bicycle Queensland could not do it without your support.
