Can I view the course map?

You can view the current 2011 Wilson HTM Brisbane to the Gold Coast Cycle Challenge route via the Info Sheets page - The Course.

Is the course flat?

The course is very flat with only slight inclines when cycling on the Busway otherwise you can enjoy an easy (but still lengthy!) flat ride all the way to the Gold Coast.

Will there be pace setters?

No. The event is NOT a race.

Who is allowed on the course?

No persons are authorised to be on the closed roadways of the ride course unless they are a registered participant or a course official. Course officials will be identified by various forms of accreditation while authorised participants must prominently display their Ride Bib Number. Failure to comply will result in a direction to leave the course by police or course officials. Are private support vehicles allowed? Private support vehicles are not permitted on any of Bicycle Queensland courses. Teams found not complying will result in a direction to leave the course by police or course officials.

Will there be rest stops along the way?

There are two official rest stops with water and food (RS1 and RS2). RS1 - Eagleby, RS2 - Coomera, FINISH AREA - Broadwater Parklands, Southport.

Can I bring personal refreshments?

All cyclists are recommended to bring two filled water bottles with them for the start of the rides.

Are there toilets on course?

Toilets are located at the start, all rest stops and finish and will be clearly signed. There are other public toilets along the course.

Will medical help be available on course?

Medical support is available at start, all rest stops, finish and mobile along the course. Medical conditions that may affect you during the event should be clearly detailed on the reverse of your bib number, including emergency contact details. Course officials are located at regular intervals also and should be notified if you have any difficulties during the event.

Will there be mechanical assistance on course?

Mechanical assistance will be available at rest stops. Please ensure you carry a spare tube and puncture kit. Please note, services are provided for free but you must pay for consumables.

What are the course cut off times?

Busway entrance (South Brisbane) - 6.45am (0.1km)

Busway (Eight mile Plains) - 7.45am (15.3km)

Rest Stop 1 (Logan) - 9.45am (40.1km)

Rest Stop 2 (Coomera) - 12:30pm (79km)

Finish Site (Southport) - 1:30pm (100km)
